Vantage Systems supplies and installs the full Matrix COSEC ARGO range in Bangalore and across India. ARGO is Matrix’s face-based door line, and unlike a reader these are standalone door controllers — Matrix publishes an on-board capacity of up to 50,000 users and 5,00,000 event logs, so the unit at the door makes the decision itself. Face, fingerprint and card variants all handle door access and payroll-ready attendance from the same device. The full line-up is below, and we spec which doors need a controller and which just need a reader on a free survey.

Made in India

Matrix Comsec has designed and manufactured in India since 1991 — headquartered in Vadodara, Gujarat, with its manufacturing facility at Waghodia and a DSIR-recognised in-house R&D operation. Matrix states its products are “entirely conceived, designed, and manufactured within India”. For you that means an Indian spares and firmware-support chain rather than an import-only channel — and it helps satisfy the Make-in-India / local-content preferences that many government, PSU and enterprise tenders now carry.

ARGO units are standalone door controllers — Matrix publishes their own on-board capacity (up to 50,000 user profiles and 5,00,000 event logs), so they run a door without a separate panel behind them. The final letter is the card technology. Ask for the datasheet for any model.

Matrix COSEC ARGO range — frequently asked questions

Is face recognition reliable enough for a main entrance?
For most offices, yes — and it is faster than fingerprint at a busy door because nobody stops to touch anything. Where you need higher assurance, ARGO units can require two credentials (face plus card, for example) on the doors that matter.
Do I need a separate controller panel behind an ARGO?
No — that is the difference between ARGO and a reader. Matrix publishes ARGO’s on-board capacity (up to 50,000 users and 5,00,000 event logs), so the unit at the door holds the user list and makes the decision. Readers like the COSEC ATOM range do need a controller behind them. Most sites use both: controllers on the doors that matter, readers elsewhere.
Can the same device do attendance and payroll?
Yes. The same ARGO unit at the door records attendance with shift, leave and overtime rules and exports payroll-ready reports, so you are not buying and managing two systems.
What do the letters at the end of the model number mean?
They are the card technology: E is EM Proximity, M is MIFARE, and I is HID iCLASS (which also reads HID Prox, SEOS, MIFARE and EM). Match the letter to whatever cards your staff already carry — that usually decides it for you.
Is Matrix made in India?
Yes — Matrix Comsec is an Indian manufacturer, which means local spares, local firmware support and shorter replacement cycles, and it helps satisfy Make-in-India and local-content preferences in government and enterprise tenders.
What does a COSEC ARGO system cost in India?
COSEC is quoted per site with a GST invoice — price depends on how many doors, which credential types and the software. Tell us your door count and we will send a current quote.
Do you install and maintain it, or only supply?
Both — Vantage Systems is an AV and security integrator. We survey the site, supply the hardware, install and commission it, and provide AMC across Bangalore and pan-India.
