A leading luxury hospitality group running a destination resort in the Western Ghats needed an AV stack that could switch between corporate offsites on a Tuesday and a 300-guest wedding on a Saturday — without rebuilding the room each time. Vantage Systems specified, supplied, installed and commissioned projection, motorised screens and audio across every venue space.

One venue. Three completely different events every week.

A premier luxury resort in Coorg — operated by one of India’s most reputable five-star hospitality brands — runs a calendar where the same hall hosts a corporate offsite on Tuesday, a destination wedding on Saturday, and a private banquet on Sunday. Each event has a completely different AV brief: crisp slide projection for the corporate, ambient stage washes and live-feed projection for the wedding, mood-driven screens and music for the banquet.

The earlier setup leaned on portable kit hired from local vendors. Every event meant a fresh rigging crew, ad-hoc projector placement, screens propped on stands, audio mixed differently each time, and at least one ceremony where the projector overheated halfway through the speeches. For a property where guests pay a premium for a polished experience, “works most of the time” was no longer acceptable.

Three event formats, one hall

Conference projection, wedding stage visuals and banquet ambience all had to live in the same room — switchable in under 30 minutes between events.

Hill-station logistics

Coorg is 250 km from Bangalore on roads that hate AV trolleys. Anything specified had to be installed once, properly — service callouts mean a 6-hour drive each way.

Brand-grade visual quality

A five-star property cannot have wedding guests squinting at washed-out projection. Image had to hold up under high banquet-hall ambient light without curtains drawn.

6,000-lumen laser engine for the main hall

A Panasonic PT-MZ680 laser LED projector — 6,000 lumens, WUXGA — anchors the main banquet hall. Laser light source means zero lamp replacements over 20,000 hours of use and rock-stable colour even under partial banquet lighting.

Motorised screens for every venue

GrandLogic fibreglass tubular-motor screens in 150″, 120″ and 109″ — each with RF remote and low-voltage control. Press the button, screen drops; press again, it retracts into the ceiling and the room is a wedding hall again.

WUXGA projection in breakout rooms

A second Panasonic PT-EZ770 6,500-lumen WUXGA LCD projector handles the conference / breakout venue. Same control philosophy, same remote, same operator UX as the main hall — staff trains once.

Banquet captains drop the motorised screen, switch the projector input, and the room flips between corporate, wedding and banquet modes without a single AV technician on site.
